History
STORY BEHIND
Jahurul Islam Medical College & Hospital (JIMCH) has been established under the Aftab Rahima Welfare Trust as a conglomerate offering medical education and research, hospital, and training in nursing services. Located at the village of Bhagalpur, in Bajitpur Upazila of Kishoreganj District, the medical college Hospital aims to provide leadership and excellence in the field of teaching, clinical care and services in a student-centered comprehensive and specialized campus. The great philanthropist, renowned industrialist Late Mr. Jahurul Islam is the founder of these organizations in his native land.
HOW IT BEGAN
In 1989, a 250-bed hospital was put into service. It is equipped with the most modern instruments and facilities, offering round the clock services, including emergencies, for indoor and outdoor patients.
WHERE WE STAND
More than 500 beds are covering all the departments of a general tertiary level teaching hospital. In its final and ultimate completion phase, the Hospital will have more beds and specialized departments to provide management and services of all aspects of medical, surgical or emergency requirements. JIMCH has its name and fame all over the country for its state of the art educational and training quality as well as its modern healthcare services in rural areas.
